Design
Financial Model for a SaaS Scale-Up's PLG to Enterprise Shift
Overview
What this challenge is about.
You are part of a 3-person financial modeling team. TaskFlow provides project management software and currently has 10,000 free users and 500 paying customers (ACV $1,200). The enterprise pivot involves hiring 5 sales reps, increasing marketing spend, and targeting companies with 100+ employees. You need to build a 3-year monthly financial model in Excel that projects user conversion rates, churn, and revenue. The model should include a dashboard with KPIs (MRR, ARR, LTV, CAC, payback period). Success means the model is flexible enough to test different scenarios (e.g., slower sales ramp, higher churn) and clearly shows the financial impact of the pivot. Deliver a presentation deck summarizing the model and recommendations.
