Validate a Developer-Tooling Startup Idea from a Research Group
Overview
What this challenge is about.
Recruit 18 backend developers across fintech, B2B SaaS, and devtools (6 per vertical), all currently writing test fixtures by hand. Run 30-minute problem-discovery interviews using the Mom Test framing (past behavior, not opinions). Build a Figma + landing-page prototype that demos the auto-generated-fixture promise. Run 12 prototype-walkthrough sessions, scoring willingness-to-pay + integration friction per vertical. Deliver: 6-page market-discovery synthesis, prototype + landing page, willingness-to-pay matrix, and a 4-page go/no-go memo with explicit kill criteria.
