Professional portfolio

Educational

Sometimes called a professional body of work. The defining feature is curation for a specific professional audience rather than an exhaustive archive.

A professional portfolio is a portfolio curated for a specific professional context — entry-level hiring, promotions, business-development conversations, freelance proposals. The curation matters: strong portfolios show three to five focused pieces relevant to the audience, not every piece of work the candidate has ever shipped.

The practical question is which pieces to include for a given audience. The honest answer is to start from the audience: what would a hiring team in this specific role want to see, and which of your pieces speak to those criteria most directly. Then arrange those pieces, with context, in a sequence that lets the audience read the work without struggling.

On Ewance

Ewance credentials compose into a professional portfolio naturally — the student selects a subset of credentials relevant to the target audience, links them as a curated set, and lets the rubric grades and deliverables speak for themselves. The platform supplies the artefacts; the student supplies the curation.
