Salesforce Consultant
Between a company's messy reality and the clean abstractions of a CRM sits the Salesforce consultant. The role is part business analyst, part platform engineer: mapping how a sales team actually works today, then configuring (and sometimes coding in Apex or Lightning Web Components) a system that reflects how they should work tomorrow.
Success isn't measured by what you built but by whether anyone uses it six months later, which makes change management as important as the technical setup. Students who enjoy this work tend to like both systems thinking and people, and they're patient with the unglamorous parts: permission sets, sharing rules, training sessions.
Expect to grow through trailheads, real implementations, and learning when to push back on a client's first request.
