HR Analyst

In most companies, people decisions get made on hunches long after the data could have told a clearer story. HR analysts exist to change that.

The role brings statistical thinking to questions about turnover, pay equity, headcount planning, and benefits design, helping leaders see patterns that get lost in anecdote. Students grow into it by combining a comfort with Excel and regression with genuine curiosity about why people stay, leave, and grow inside organizations.

The work also touches sensitive data, so a clear understanding of GDPR and privacy practice is part of the job. Strong HR analysts can explain a confidence interval to an executive without losing them, which is harder than it sounds.
